Writing and the Zeitgeist - Liz Whittaker

Do writers create the of the times, or do they respond to it? Can it really matter whether they are in touch with the times orshould they write what they like regardless of changing fashions?

Or

A fast paced workshop filled with information. All aspects of writing short stories will be covered –including analysis of a published story, writing dialogue, inventing characters, discovering plots, reader grabbing beginnings, middles to keep them reading and satisfying endings. The markets: who and where, what they want, and what they pay will be included.

Finding Your Inner Dragon: Annette Ecuyere Lee
A journey through the myths and stories of dragons from the East and the West to help you find your own personal dragon.

4.00 pm - 6.00pm

Performance - Open Floor - Led by Simone Mansell Broome

This is the part where attendees, local authors and the general public get together, in what is always a very special time at the festival, to enjoy one another.s writing and company. It is also an ideal opportunity to perform your own work in an informal and supportive setting.

Also on the 24th November in the evening - starting at 8pm, is Waunifor's "Last Saturday" - a musical and arts event open to artists and non-Last Saturday artists alike.

All are welcome to participate by playing, singing or reading or just by being the audience.

It is an enjoyable, informal and supportive evening and would make a wonderful extension to the festival.

They are open to making supper for those wishing to stay (if pre-booked) or there is a pub in the village.

Entry is £2.00 and refreshments are available.
