nearly all of the UK and Australian women.s magazines. She has also been
placed in many prestigious writing competitions (Ian St James awards, Real

Simone Mansell-Broome - a childhood scribbler who as an adult become obsessed - mostly poems, but some short stories. She has been commended and placed in various competitions & anthologies including , asLeaf Books well as magazines.Roundyhouse, Envoi, Carillon & The New Writer Simone has also won three competitions so far this year with Carillon, Leaf Books and the Winchester Writer.s Conference. She is also becoming well known as a performance poet and is this year entering the John Tripp Award.
Liz Whittaker - journalist, novelist and playwright. Her 'Dreamstealers' a trilogy was a Welsh Books Council selection for schools in 2005. As a one- time drama teacher and theatre director she has also worked with youth theatres, arts and drama festivals. She has featured as a speaker at Hay on Wye Literary Festival, as venue director for the National Shakespeare in Schools Festival, guest director at the North Devon Arts Festival and numerous events throughout Wales during the past several years a committed community worker in her home town of Cardigan.
